Rise of the Triad: Dark War (1994) by Apogee Software is a fast-paced first-person shooter built on a modified Wolfenstein 3D engine. It features dual-pistol gameplay, jump pads, destructible environments and over-the-top weapons. Batocera uses Taradino, a source port of the original game. This system scrapes metadata for the “ports” group(s) and loads the rott set from the currently selected theme, if available. Grouped with the “ports” group of systems.

Taradino has no additional ES configuration options beyond pad-to-keyboard mapping.
Here are the default Taradino controls shown on a Batocera Retropad:
| Gamepad button | Action |
|---|---|
| Left analog stick / D-pad | Move |
| Right analog stick | Look / Turn |
| | Menu back |
| | Open door |
| | Toggle weapon |
| | Drop weapon |
| L1 | Strafe left |
| R1 | Strafe right |
| | Run |
| | Fire |
| L3 | Toggle run |
Do not enable the joystick or gamepad option in-game as compatibility doesn't work well. The controller is mapped to keyboard events instead.
