It features a rich storyline, extensive weapon upgrade system, multiple ship types and both single-player and two-player arcade modes. The game was released as freeware in 2004 and Batocera uses OpenTyrian, an open-source port of the game. This system scrapes metadata for the "ports" group(s) and loads the tyrian set from the currently selected theme, if available. Grouped with the "ports" group of systems. </WRAP> <WRAP third column> {{ https://raw.githubusercontent.com/fabricecaruso/es-theme-carbon/master/art/consoles/tyrian.png?nolink&350 |}} </WRAP> </WRAP> ==== Quick reference ==== * **Emulator:** OpenTyrian * **Folder:** ''roms/tyrian/'' * **Accepted ROM formats:** ''.game'' ===== BIOS ===== No OpenTyrian emulator in Batocera needs a BIOS file to run. ===== ROMs ===== This is a standalone freeware game. **No ROM is required** — you can get the game asset files directly from the **Batocera Content Downloader**.
