Batocera currently provides 4 different screensaver modes:

• Dim: simply dims the screen
• Black: turns the screen full black (default)
• Slideshow: displays on full screen screenshots that have been scraped for the games available on your system (on rotation after a given time). This behavior can be configured from Slideshow Screensaver settings.
• Random Video: this one has two modes:
  • First, you can use it to display snap videos that have been scraped for the games available on your systems. If you press the Start button while a video is played, the associated game will be launched directly! Some call it “demo mode”. And if you don't like the game on screen, press right to skip to the next video
  • Starting with Batocera 5.27, you can also use Random Video to play videos from a custom folder (by default /userdata/screenshots/). Drop a few videos for old video game commercials in there, and sit back for some nostalgia. And if there is a video you don't like, just press right to skip to the next.
  • Configuration of video screensavers is done through Random Video Screensaver settings.
